Sun Plaza Medan has a good Factory Outlet store from where I got a pair of Adidas for a very reasonable price. While I was in Medan, I stayed at the Danau Toba Hotel, one of the biggest hotels in the middle of town. It is just within walking distance from Sun Plaza. I am documenting Sun Plaza as one of the main retail centres of Medan for AsiaExplorers. If you have been here before, share your experiences in the Add Comments section below.

With some time to spare and feeling groggy after the heavy lunch, we headed for the hair salon on the 4th level for a good ole hair wash and trim. Half an hour later, we emerged S$5 poorer but refreshed to carry on shopping. Big plaza and lots of happening in Saturday and Sunday. Plenty of food choices from western to eastern. Has a big supermarket, named Hypermart which offer the equal style of shopping like Carrefour. Has more luxury goods than other malls in town.
